Human remains found in Wayne County in December have been identified as those of a teenage girl who disappeared in 2014, according to WSIL 3.
An FBI spokesperson confirmed Tuesday that the remains belong to Megan Nichols, a 15-year-old girl who disappeared in July 2014. Her remains were found Dec. 26 in Boyleston.
The FBI was not able to release further details.
Megan went missing from her Fairfield home in 2014, leaving her cellphone, which had been wiped clean, and a note telling her mom she would never be happy at home, according to WFIE.
