Mattress Source going out of business

Mattress Source stores throughout the metro-east are going out of business and selling all remaining inventory at discounted prices.

The mattress retailer opened seven years ago and currently has stores in Belleville, Fairview Heights and Edwardsville plus more locations across the river.

A wealth management firm is breaking ground on a new five-story building in O’Fallon on Tuesday. Visionary Wealth Advisors will build a 65,000-square-foot office building at 1405 Green Mount Road. On the first floor will be a bank, restaurant and possibly medical practices. The second floor will be leased for office space. The third and fourth floors will be home to Kurowski & Shultz LLC law firm. The fifth floor will include a meeting space that will accommodate as many as 100 guests outdoors.

Gander Mountain has scheduled a grand opening of its first metro-east store. The outdoor sporting goods and apparel retailer will open at 10 a.m. May 28 at 1230 Central Park Drive in O’Fallon.

Local taxidermist Brian Rexroad has opened a new locale to the public in Mascoutah. You can find Wildlife Designs Taxidermy Studio at 15 W. Main St. Rexroad brings more than 25 years of experience. His phone number is 618-979-5154.

And finally, Gateway Industrial Power in Collinsville has expanded its business that now includes power generation for local businesses in need of power supply. The company, located at 921 Fournie Lane, provides standby back up power for hospitals, FEMA shelters, waste water treatment plants, nursing homes and police and fire stations. Gateway Industrial Power was founded in 1989 and has been located in Collinsville since 1993.
