Clearing skies, warmer as workweek begins

Skies were expected to clear Monday morning as the mercury began its climb to a high of 84, according to the National Weather Service.

That’s 11 degrees warmer than the average high temperature of 73 for May 4 in the St. Louis area.

Overnight, the low will drop to 63 under partly cloudy skies. The typical low for this time of year is 52.

On Tuesday, the high will be 84 and skies will be mostly sunny.

The low Tuesday night will drop to 62 and skies will be partly cloudy.

Sun is expected Wednesday with a high of 84. Winds will gust up to 22 mph from the south.

Overnight the low will drop to 62.
