MoDOT postpones Saturday closure of parts of I-55, I-44 in St. Louis
Planned work for Saturday along northbound I-55 and eastbound I-44 has been postponed because of potential thunderstorms, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The work that was scheduled included to closing parts of I-55 and I-44 around the Poplar Street Bridge and downtown St. Louis.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday.
Crews were scheduled to place girders over the interstate for the new PSB ramp to southbound I-55.
The work is now scheduled to take place on May 15, MoDOT said.
MoDOT also said its planning a full weekend closure of I-44/I-55 in the downtown area starting May 29 to remove the ramp from the westbound PSB to southbound I-55.
