IDOT replacing guardrails, medians along I-55/I-70

The Illinois Department of Transportation has intermittent daytime lane closures taking place along I-55/I-70 between Illinois 157 and I-270, weather permitting.

Lane restrictions, on both eastbound and westbound lanes between Collinsville and Troy, will be in place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. so workers can remove and replace guardrails, a cable median barrier and impact attenuators, IDOT said.

Work is scheduled to be completed by May 22.
