Disabled train causing MetroLink delays

A disabled train near Fairview Heights is causing delays for MetroLink passengers in the metro-east.

An update on Metro’s website said passengers are being shuttled between the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center, Washington Park, Fairview Heights and Memorial Hospital stops. Delays are expected to last at least an hour.

Blue Line trains running from the Shrewsbury-Landsdowne station in St. Louis are only operating as far as the Emerson Park stop, not going all the way to Fairview Heights. Red Line trains are operating from Lambert-St. Louis International Airport to the Jackie Joyner-Kersee stop and then from Memorial Hospital in Belleville to Shiloh. Passengers on thouse routes should expect delays of up to 20 to 30 minutes.
