East St. Louis Police looking for bank robber

East St. Louis Police were searching for a man who robbed First Bank at 301 River Park Drive on Friday.

The bank robber did not display a weapon, but he walked into the bank, indicated to a teller that he had a weapon in his pocket and announced the robbery.

No one was hurt.

The suspect was described by East St. Louis Police Chief Michael Floore as a light-skinned black male in his mid-50s, 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray shirt or jacket and a ball cap. He had a medium build.

He left the bank headed toward Collinsville Avenue.
