Thunderstorms likely through the weekend

There is a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms across the metro-east Thursday.

The storms will be scattered, according to the National Weather Service and will be accompanied by gusty winds blowing up to 21 mph.

The high temperature will be 70.

The chance of thunderstorms will decrease to 30 percent Thursday night when the low will be 61.

The temperature will hit 84 Friday with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms.

The chance of rain will drop to 30 percent Friday night with a low of 66.

The weekend looks wet with a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Saturday and a 60 percent chance Sunday. The high will be 83 Saturday and 82 Sunday.
