MoDOT closes parts of I-44, I-55 Friday
The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to close parts of northbound I-44 and I-55 on Friday night in the downtown area.
Crews are scheduled to place girders over the interstate for the new Poplar Street Bridge ramp to southbound I-55, MoDOT said.
At 8 p.m., crews plan to close all northbound lanes and ramps on I-44 between the 7th Street and Park Avenue intersection and the Martin Luther King ramp, according to a MoDOT alert. Crews also plan to close all lanes and ramps on northbound I-55 from Gravois Avenue to the Poplar Street Bridge, as well as the on-ramps from Marion Street (Soulard) and 12th Street and Gravois to northbound I-55.
All northbound lanes and ramps are scheduled to reopen by 11 a.m. Saturday, before Saturday's Cardinals game, MoDOT said.
The work is weather dependent.
