Storms likely Friday, through the weekend
Thunderstorms are in the forecast for the metro-east through the weekend -- and there is a chance that some of them could be severe.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of storms Friday with rain most likely after 1 p.m.
The high temperature is expected to reach 83.
The chance of storms remains at 60 percent Friday evening with the best chance of wet weather coming before 7 p.m. Some storms could be strong.
The low will be 66.
There is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday with a high of 82 and winds up to 23 mph.
On Saturday night, the chance of rain decreases to 30 percent with a low of 68.
On Sunday, there is a 70 percent chance of storms with winds up to 30 mph. Storms could become severe, especially in the northern part of the metro-east.
The high will be 83.
The chance of storms will decrease to 30 percent Sunday night with a low of 66.
