Swansea Fire Department, Abbott EMS offer free CPR training

Together with the Swansea Fire Department, Abbott EMS will offer free compression-only CPR training Wednesday afternoon as part of its observance of National Emergency Medical Services Week.

The free training is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Swansea Fire Department, 144 Huntwood Road.

According to an announcement from Abbott, compression-only CPR administered by bystanders in emergencies can greatly increase chances of survival for a cardiac arrest victim.
