IDOT plans a lane closure Wednesday night, Thursday along I-270

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have a lane closure Wednesday night into Thursday along eastbound I-270, from the Mississippi River Bridge to the Illinois 3 interchange, near Granite City.

The lane closure is scheduled to be in place from 9 p.m. Wednesday through noon Thursday, weather permitting.

Workers are slated to install the pavement reflectors and 50-foot tall tower poles, IDOT said.

Traffic will be guided through the work zone utilizing flaggers, traffic control devices and traffic control signing, IDOT said.
