Driver, passenger flown to hospital after crash in Southern Illinois

Two people were flown to the hospital and another was driven by an ambulance after a two-vehicle crash near Louisville in Clay County around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A 2006 Dodge Charger was southbound on Bethel Drive near Kinmundy Road when the driver, 29-year-old Jamie N. Colclasure, of Edgewood, did not stop for a sign and hit a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, according to an Illinois State Police news release.

The crash impact sent the Silverado, which was hauling a trailer, into the ditch where it rolled over.

Colclasure and her passenger, Nick R. McCarty, 35, of Edgewood, were flown to hospitals. Gabe L. Blair, 43, of Louisville, was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Illinois State Police say charges are pending further investigation.
