A break from the rain, but temps remain well below normal
Rain clouds that drenched the metro-east and brought record low temperatures will move out Thursday.
Skies will be partly sunny with a high temperature of 64, according to the National Weather Service.
That’s still 13 degrees cooler than the average high temperature of 77 for this time of year in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The temperature will drop to 47 overnight under mostly clear skies.
Warmer temperatures will move into the region on Friday, when it will be 75 under mostly sunny skies. It will be mostly cloudy Friday night with a low of 53.
Partly sunny skies and a high of 75 are expected Saturday. But a 50 percent chance of rain is expected to move back into the area Saturday night.
The low will be 60.
There is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms Sunday with a high of 79.
For Memorial Day, the forecast calls for a high of 78 with a 60 percent chance of storms.
