Belleville massage parlor owner, 71, accused of sexually assaulting customer

A 71-year-old man was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting a woman at his Belleville massage business in October 2015.

Doug J. Hill, who owned Massage by Doug, is facing one count of sexual assault and one count of aggravated battery.

Charges accuse him of sexually touching a woman with his hand on Oct. 23, 2015, while at Massage by Doug, which had been located at 4200 North Belt West.

Belleville Police did not immediately return calls for comment on the case. A jail official confirmed there was no record of Hill being booked into the facility.

The charges were filed on Thursday, but when Hill was contacted Friday by the BND he said he was unaware of the formal accusations.

Hill did confirm on Friday that he owned the business and closed it down permanently in June 2017 in order to retire.

On the company’s website, which was still active Friday, it stated the business was voted the best in the industry in 2015 and stated it had a five-star rating.

“We encourage our clients to be at ease and to dress comfortable, and to remove only those garments that will allow them to remain in a comfort zone,” the website stated.

Hill’s past court record includes only traffic violations.
