Two injured, trains delayed after car crossing tracks hits MetroLink train and flees
Two MetroLink passengers were injured after a car crashed into it on Thursday in East St. Louis.
According to KMOV, the driver of the car tried to cross the tracks while a train was coming and the train clipped the car.
The car drove from the scene. A description of the vehicle was not released, KMOV reported.
MetroLink trains between 5th & Missouri and Emerson Park initially were not operating as of 12:25 p.m. Thursday, according to a press release from Bi-State Development officials.
Operations had resumed between the stations as of 1:40 p.m. Thursday.
