A 34-year-old Clinton County woman whose apparently drunken afternoon was caught on video and went viral has pleaded guilty and paid for her activities.

Kari A. Dorries was seen holding a beer and stumbling out of a vehicle on July 28 in a video posted to Facebook by a potential candidate for state representative. Dorries collided with a young girl who was riding a bicycle in Beckemeyer.

The family later told the News-Democrat that the girl was not injured in the fall. Dorries did not respond for comment.

A thread about the video on Reddit was upvoted more than 17,000 times.

Dories pleaded guilty to one count of carrying alcohol in a passenger vehicle and one count of not wearing her seat belt. She paid $180 in fines on Tuesday to Clinton County.

Dale Lappe III posted the video with a caption of “When Trump’s wall fails, so you have to take matters into your own hands.”

Lappe’s Facebook page purporting his candidacy for state representative has since been removed.

The girl on the bicycle is Hispanic, her family confirmed to the News-Democrat.
