A 27-year-old Cahokia man has been arrested and accused of burglarizing multiple homes in O’Fallon.
Police say Dominique A. Hudson stole property from O’Fallon homes between July 20 and Aug. 9.
Hudson was taken into custody on Wednesday and was charged with five residential burglaries of multi-unit homes, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, and one count of possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, said Lt. Kerry Andrews of the O’Fallon Police Department.
He was in the St. Clair County Jail on $75,000 bail Thursday afternoon.

Andrews said some of the items were personal items, jewelry and “typical things you could grab quick and easy” have been recovered.
Police said Hudson also took televisions.
“The interesting thing is some of those TVs were not small,” Andrews said.
Police said the firearm that Hudson had was stolen.
Hudson is expected to be arraigned Aug. 31.
Hudson has previous convictions in St. Clair County, including one for residential burglary in 2012.
O’Fallon police were warning residents that burglaries happen at any time of day and encourage people to call their local police department if they see anything or anyone suspicious.
