Motorcyclist ejected in suspected DUI crash, police say
A 54-year-old man was charged with a DUI after crashing his motorcycle in Southern Illinois Saturday night, according to police.
David R. Hesse’s motorcycle struck a median as he was traveling southbound on U.S. 51, according to the preliminary investigation by Illinois State Police. It was about 9:50 p.m.
Police say Hesse was ejected in the crash.
Hesse, of Irvington, was transported to a Centralia hospital.
