Some classes at Signal Hill School canceled because of broken heater
Classes for seventh and eighth grade students at Signal Hill School District 181 were canceled Wednesday because of a broken heating and cooling system.
Superintendent Janice Kunz said the temperature dropped in the junior high wing Tuesday night. The fan system in the heating system had kicked off and was showing an error code, Kunz said in a message to students and families.
An attempt to reset the system was unsuccessful, Kunz said.
Kunz said she hopes the repairs will be completed Wednesday.
