Police investigating Belleville woman’s death
Deputies are investigating the circumstances around a woman’s death near Belleville.
Kelsey Johnson, 24, of Belleville was transported Belleville Memorial Hospital with a single stab wound to the lower neck or upper body area, Capt. Bruce Fleshren of the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department said on Monday. She was declared dead at the hospital.
Police were called at 8:30 a.m. Saturday to a home near Belleville.
