Thunderstorms are likely through the weekend

Skies will be sunny to start the day Thursday in the metro-east.

But clouds will move in during the afternoon and they’ll bring a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms with them. The most likely chance of rain will be after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The high will be 85.

The chance of thunderstorms will increase to 30 percent overnight Thursday into Friday when the low will be 67.

On Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day with a high of 84.

There is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday night with a low of 67.

The likelihood of rain will continue into the weekend with a 70 percent chance of thunderstorms during the day Saturday. The high will be 77.

Saturday night, the low will be 54 with a 40 percent chance of storms.

It will be much cooler Sunday with a high of 66 and a 30 percent chance of rain. The low will be 56.
