Scattered thunderstorms are possible Thursday across the metro-east as temperatures finally get back to normal.
The high will reach 83 under partly sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. It’s the first time in nearly a week the mercury has reached the average high temperature for early June in the St. Louis area, 82.
The chance of rain is pegged at 20 percent and will continue into the evening hours when the low will be 66.
On Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms with a high of 85. The chance of storms will drop to 40 percent during the evening hours when the low will be 63.

After a string of three rainy weekends in a row, there is a good chance to get outside this time.
There is only a slight chance of rain Saturday, about 20 percent, during the daytime hours. The high temperature will be 81.
Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a low of 65.
Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 87. As the weekend ends, there is a 40 percent chance of storms Sunday night when the low will be 71.
