Belleville microbrewery and restaurant 4204 Main Street Brewing Co. is expanding its brewing operations.
Business owner Todd Kennedy said he is building onto the east side of the existing building at 4204 W. Main St., which will increase the microbrewery’s production from 1,000 barrels to 6,000 barrels a year. Construction is expected to be finished by next month.
Kennedy also said the microbrewery will soon be adding a canning line that will help his business distribute 4204 Main Street Brewing Co.’s beer to grocery and convenience stores.
You can also find the microbrewery and eatery at its second locale recently opened at 180 E. Center Road in Alton.
Love’s Travel Stops has opened a new locale in New Baden. The convenience store and gas station at the intersection of Interstate 64 and Illinois 161 also features a Hardee’s restaurant and a game room.
Fulford Homes is planning to build 150 new homes in Swansea. The Shiloh-based homebuilder has announced construction will begin soon off of Sullivan Drive. A model home has been completed and will be open for viewing during a grand opening planned for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 20.

And finally, Monkey Joe’s in Fairview Heights has partnered with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to raise money for childhood cancer research. Throughout this month, the children’s indoor playground at 10855 Lincoln Trail will donate a portion of all lemonade sales to the foundation.
