Business briefing: Local gas prices higher than national average

The average price for gas in the greater St. Louis area has recently increased at a higher rate than the rest of the country.

According to the online gasoline price tracker GasBuddy.com, the average retail gasoline prices in St. Louis rose 6.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.70 per gallon, compared to the national average increase of 0.4 cents per gallon in that same span. However, the St. Louis region’s average price remains lower at $2.70 per gallon compared to the $2.76-a-gallon national average. Find out more here.
