Motorcyclist, passenger critically injured in collision with pickup

A motorcyclist and his passenger were critically injured in a crash in Wood River.

According to police reports, at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, a male rider crashed into the side of a pickup truck near the intersection of East Ferguson Avenue and South Third Street.

Both the rider and his female passenger were flown by helicopter to hospitals in St. Louis.
