Rain, rain and more rain on the way

After several sunny days in a row, it’s time to get used to some rain.

Thunderstorms are likely through the weekend and into next week, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

There is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms during the daytime hours Friday with the most likely chance for rain coming in the afternoon. The high temperature will be 89.

The chance of storms will increase to 60 percent Friday night when the low will be 71.

On Saturday, there is a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms with a high of 88 expected.

There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms Saturday night with a low of 72.

The chance of wet weather is pegged at 50 percent during the daytime hours Sunday with a high of 88.

Sunday night there is a 40 percent chance of storms with a low of 73.

The extended forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
