Police asking for help finding Cahokia man missing since October

Police are looking for a 45-year old Cahokia man who family members reportedly have not seen since November 2019.

Omar R. Custer, lived at 3602 Falling Springs Rd., Apt. 8, in Cahokia.

“He was not known to have any mental or physical disabilities,” Cahokia Police Capt. Dennis Plew said. “Family reports they have not had any contact with Mr. Custer since November, 2019.” Plew said.

Tony Tomlinson, a patrolman with the Lebanon Police Department is a friend of the family. He’s assisting the Cahokia Police Department with their investigation.

Tomlinson said police have met with the family and family told them “they are desperate for someone to come forward with some information,” Tomlinson.

Custer was reported missing to police on January 21. His apartment appears to be undamaged, Plew said.

Custer is described as “bald with medium dark skin, mustache and chin hair”. He is approximately 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 190-200 pounds. He has a tattoo of a building on his forearm.
