Three people injured when SUV traveling the wrong way overturns in Washington Park

Three people were injured when an SUV overturned on an Illinois 111 off-ramp Thursday night in Washington Park, authorities said.

The driver of the SUV, Victor Gordon, 58, of Belleville, and his passengers, Patricia A. Jones, 80, of Belleville, and Roy R. Dunn, 73, of East St. Louis, were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital. Dunn, the front seat passenger, had been ejected from the SUV, according to the Illinois State Police.

Illinois state trooper Joshua Korando said the SUV was traveling the wrong way when Gordon lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and overturned.

“Gordon was issued a citation for driving the wrong way on the ramp,“ Korando said.
