Ramp closures near Belleville could slow traffic next week, Illinois DOT says
The Illinois Department of Transportation has scheduled two several hour-long ramp closures near Belleville next week.
IDOT has announced the eastbound and westbound ramps connecting Illinois 13 and 15 just west of Belleville will close for extended amounts of time several times this month.
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7, the ramp from Illinois 15 to Illinois 13 eastbound will be closed for repairs to a damaged bridge girder.
On Monday, April 6, the ramp from Illinois 15 to Illinois 13 westbound will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for repairs as well.
Motorists using the roads during the closures will be directed by signage to detour routes.
IDOT said drivers should expect delays and allow for extra time while traveling the area.
