Police release name of woman whose body was found in Fairview Heights
Fairview Heights police have identified the body of a 32-year-old Danville woman found on the front steps of a business in the 9600 block of Illinois 161.
Fairview Heights Detective Tim Mueller said police officers received a call at 7:40 a.m. Friday about the body.
The female was identified by Fairview Heights police as Jessica l. Lanksten, whose last known address was on Hennings Road in Danville.
“The were no signs of trauma. We are waiting for toxicology reports,” Mueller said.
Mueller said police do not know a cause of death and are waiting on toxicology reports to return. He said when police arrived on scene, Lanksten appeared to have been dead for several hours.
Lanksten did not have any connection to the recyling business where she was found. And, police have no idea why she was at the business, Mueller said.
St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said Lanksten was pronounced at the scene at 8:19 a.m. Friday. He also said it could take two to three weeks for the toxicology reports to return.
