IDOT announces several ramp and lane closures in Belleville

The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced several ramp and lane closures at eastbound Illinois 15 under Illinois 13 in Belleville.

In a Tuesday news release, IDOT said the ramp and lane closures are needed for bridge repairs. The daily closures will follow this schedule:

• Wednesday, April 22: the left lane of eastbound Illinois 15 under Illinois 13 will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Thursday, April 23: the ramp from westbound Illinois 13 to eastbound Illinois 15, and the right lane of eastbound 15 under 13, will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Monday, April 27 to Thursday, April 30: the ramp from westbound Illinois 13 to eastbound Illionis 15 and the right lane of eastbound 15 under 13, will be closed daily from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Detour signage will be put up when the ramp from westbound IL 13 to eastbound IL 15 is closed, the release stated.

IDOT said to expect delays and allow for extra time for trips through the area.
