Multiple lanes to close at Frank Scott Parkway and Illinois 15 for repairs, IDOT says

Multiple lanes near Frank Scott Parkway and Illinois 15 in Belleville will close for two weeks as crews work on repairing a bridge girder, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

The northbound lane of Frank Scott Parkway will be closed and IDOT will install temporary traffic signals to reroute traffic to the southbound lane, beginning May 13, a news release from the agency stated.

On eastbound Illinois 15 under Frank Scott Parkway, there will be daily lane closures from May 13 to May 29, the release stated. The closures will occur on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to the release, there will be no nighttime, weekend or holiday lane closures.

Drivers can expect delays and allow extra time for trips through this area, the release stated. IDOT also encouraged drivers to consider using alternate routes to avoid the work area.
