Some lanes of Illinois 15 will close in Belleville tomorrow, IDOT says
The eastbound lanes of Illinois 15 near Frank Scott Parkway in Belleville will close Thursday for 12 hours.
In a release, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced the road closure was needed to replace a damaged bridge girder.
Weather permitting, the eastbound lanes of Illinois 15 will be closed at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 and reopened by 6 a.m. on Friday, May 22, the release stated.
The westbound lanes of the highway will remain open during the road work, IDOT said. Detour signs will be in place to reroute traffic.
