Brighton motorcyclist airlifted with serious injuries following early morning crash
A Brighton man was airlifted after receiving “serious injuries” from a motorcycle crash Thursday morning.
According to Illinois State Police, Richard E. McLaughlin, 45, was airlifted to an area hospital after crashing a Harley Davidson Motorcycle at the southbound mile post 12 of Illinois 255 in Madison County.
Police said the motorcycle traveled off the left side off the road, into the center median and overturned for an “unknown reason” at about 5:30 a.m.
No other information was available at the time, police said.
