Wet week ahead: Storms, heavy downpours in forecast

It looks like a wet week is shaping up for the metro-east.

Thunderstorms with occasional torrential downpours, are expected for the next several days, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

There is a 70 percent chance of storms Monday with the most likely chance of rain coming after 1 p.m. The high temperature will be 85.

The chance of storms remains at 70 percent Monday night with a low of 72.

On Tuesday, the chance of thunderstorms will again be 70 percent. Heavy rainfall is expected at times with a high temperature of 85.

There is a 70 percent chance of heavy rain Tuesday night with a low of 70.

More heavy rainfall is expected Wednesday with an 80 percent chance of storms and a high of 81.

The chance of storms is expected to decrease to 50 percent Wednesday night with a low of 69.
