Granite City police search for missing teen with autism

Granite City police are searching for a missing 15-year-old boy with autism.

According to his mother, Gabriel T. Johnson left their home in the 2100 block of Delmar Avenue Wednesday at 11:15 p.m. and has not returned since, Capt. Nick Novacich said in a news release.

Gabriel is described as about 5 feet 9-10 inches tall, very thin, and weighs about 100 to 115 pounds, with a faded Mohawk hairstyle. Novacich said a clothing description was not available.

Anyone with knowledge as to the whereabouts of Gabriel can contact the Granite City Police Department at 618-877-6111.
