Southern Illinois woman dies after losing control, running vehicle into an empty car
A woman from southern Illinois is dead after she lost control of her car early Saturday, according to state police.
Dana Robinson, 45, of Flora, Illinois, was reportedly driving on Hickory Hill Lane in Clay County when she lost control of her car around 1:40 a.m. According to a preliminary investigation, she ran off the road to the right, traveling through a ditch, a beanfield and across a residential yard before hitting an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway.
Robinson was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation.
