Carlyle Lake fireworks, Dam Jam rescheduled for Labor Day weekend
Because of high water at Carlyle Lake, the fireworks scheduled for Saturday have been rescheduled for Sept. 5, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The lake is experiencing elevated water conditions where the fireworks are launched, the Corps said. Other launch sites would reduce the ability of spectators to view the fireworks.
All activities including the Dam Jam, sand castle building contest and volleyball tournament are now scheduled for Sept. 5, on Labor Day weekend.
The Corps added that fireworks are scheduled to be shot off at dusk on July 4 at the Keyesport American Legion.
