Local business owner Donna Moore describes her D Bossy Boutique as an “upscale women’s fashion boutique” that has something for every woman.

The new downtown Belleville clothing shop carries a variety of affordable clothing for different occasions, including jeans, dresses, shirts and other tops, as well as accessories like hats and purses. Clothing sizes range from extra small to XXXL, so there’s something for everyone.

Prior to opening at the former site of Sips ‘n Splatters, D Bossy Boutique was operating as an online-only business. Moore, 35, of O’Fallon, said that her dream was to run her own boutique, but she “didn’t know it would happen so soon.”

Wanting to start small with the online business, which has been operating for about a year and a half, and then opening a physical location, things are going “better than I expected,” said Moore.

“[The shop] gives me something to look forward to every day,” said Moore, adding that she’s always thinking about new ideas for the business. For now, the priority is to spread the word about the boutique, said Moore, who at that time was working in the shop with family friend Arrian Wren, 22.

D Bossy Boutique celebrated the grand opening of its new location in downtown Belleville on Saturday, Sept. 4, and is located at 15 S. High Street in Belleville. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Orders can be placed via the website at https://dbossyboutique.com/.
