Belleville’s Art on the Square continues through this weekend. Here’s the schedule

Art on the Square, Belleville’s iconic art show and festival, began Friday afternoon on Public Square.

It continues through Sunday, featuring over 90 artists and lots of entertainment and food.

Here’s the schedule for Saturday and Sunday:

Saturday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Dixie All Stars – Main Stage

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Mark Beihl – Wine Court

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Gateway East Artists Guild Artist Demonstration: Nancy Avdoian, watercolor; Michael Anderson, acrylic markers

  • 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Children’s Art Garden is open. This area will include multiple art projects for kids to enjoy. Face painting artists will be available for the young and young at heart.

  • 1-1:45 p.m. — Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra – Main Stage

  • 2-5 p.m. — Gateway East Artists Guild Artist Demonstration: Rosemary Steuer, pencil drawing; Jay Burgmann, watercolor

  • 2:30-5 p.m. — Lil’ Sister – Main Stage

  • 2:30-5:30 p.m. — Beabout Jazz – Wine Court

  • 5-8 p.m. — Gateway East Artists Guild Artist Demonstration: Jay Burgmann, gouache; Frances Jumper, acrylic painting

  • 5:30-8 p.m. — Abbey Road Warriors – Main Stage

  • 6-9 p.m. — The Philosophers – Wine Court

Sunday, Oct. 24, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. — Celtica – Main Stage

  • 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. — Don James Quartet – Wine Court

  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Gateway East Artists Guild Artist Demonstration: Sharon Campese, elegant writer; Jay Burgmann, gouache

  • Noon to 4 p.m. — Children’s Art Garden is open. This area will include multiple art projects for kids to enjoy. Face painting artists will be available for the young and young at heart.

  • 1-2 p.m. — Masterworks Chorale – Main Stage

  • 2-5 p.m. — Gateway East Artists Guild Artist Demonstration: Suzy Kunz, drawing; Janet Moreiko-Gagen, jewelry

  • 2:15-5 p.m. — Janet Evra – Wine Court

  • 2:30-5 p.m. — Anita Rosamond Band – Main Stage

Shuttle Service:

A shuttle bus is scheduled to arrive at the Belleville Scheel Street MetroLink station 10 minutes before the Art on the Square start times each day. Round trips will be made every 15 minutes. The final trip each evening will leave from Main Street 20 minutes after the day’s scheduled end. The shuttle ends at East Main and North Jackson streets.
