Hundreds of police officers honor fallen southwestern IL police officer at services today
Hundreds of police officers from multiple agencies and towns around the region joined family and friends Tuesday to honor the late Pontoon Beach Police Officer Tyler Timmins.
Timmins was shot and killed last week at a Speedway Gas and Convenience store while investigating a report of a stolen vehicle.
A funeral for the 14-year law enforcement veteran of Madison County was held at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville. He was to be buried at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton during a private graveside service following a low-speed procession from the convention center.
