A new restaurant serving Mexican cuisine opens in Madison County community

Foodies in the Madison County area now have a new place to enjoy some authentic Mexican cuisine.

El Indio Mexican Restaurant marked the opening of a new location in Bethalto on Monday, Oct. 25, with a ribbon cutting.

The menu includes plenty of options with nachos, fajitas, quesadillas, soups and salad, combo plates and specials and guacamole (yum!). There’s also a kids menu, lunch specials, a la carte items and vegetarian options.

Other El Indio locations can be found in Staunton, O’Fallon, New Baden, Nashville and St. Louis.

El Indio is located at 515 Bellwood Drive in Bethalto. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
