The highest earner in Red Bud in the 2020-21 fiscal year that ended in April was Jeffrey Mueller, the code administrator in the zoning department. Mueller was paid $79,060 in total wages, according to records provided to the BND from Red Bud through a Freedom of Information Act request for the latest figures available.
Joshua Eckart, superintendent of the electric department, was the second-highest earner in Red Bud, bringing in $77,916.15, the records show.
Thomas Caverly was third with total wages of $75,950. Caverly is an electric leadman in the electric department.
The fourth highest earner is Michael Vandorn, with $74,999.46 in total wages as an electric journeyman in the electric department.
The fifth-highest earner was Cliff Crafton with $72,611.61 for serving as an electric journeyman in the electric department.
The BND’s Public Pay Database goes back to 2011 with information obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests and public filings. The salary information does not always include insurance or benefits. Some records include detailed information on overtime and other pay, while for some districts that information was not readily available.
The database includes worker compensation in most local governments, including cities, counties, townships, school districts and local colleges and universities. More pay records will be added as the BND receives salary data through open records requests.
