Interstate roadwork scheduled for Friday near Cahokia Heights. Be prepared for delays

The right lane of northbound Interstate 255, south of Illinois 157, near Cahokia Heights will be closed Friday while workers make road repairs.

The closure will be from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., the Illinois Department of Transportation said in an announcement.

The department advises motorists to allow extra time for traveling in the area and to find alternative routes.
