A monster is coming to Grafton. And it arrives this summer.

Raging Rivers Waterpark recently started construction on a new “monster-sized” water attraction for the 2022 season, according to a press release.

The Mississippi Monster Slide opens this summer and will feature “three hidden chambers to speed down, splashing and spraying through the enclosed tubes before an exhilarating final splash,” stated the release.

“Each day of construction, the Mississippi Monster Slide gets more and more impressive,” Corporate Director of Operations Ken Handler stated in the release.

“With all the twists and turns of the past several years, Raging Rivers Waterpark is ready for our own twists and turns as only a water park can.”

The Mississippi Monster Slide will join other attractions such as the Treehouse Harbor, Cascade Body Flumes and Endless River.

The Grafton water park’s Riverside Grille will reopen this season on busy days with new streamlined processes for improved efficiency to better serve park guests.

More food options will be offered, as will personal season pass cards and additional entertainment, according to the release. Adult beverages, comfortable shade structures and other free seating will also be available.

“We want to make sure all of our guests are comfortable and have a stress-free visit, which is why we have amped up the comfort level and entertainment this season,” stated Handler.

“Guests can look forward to more places to relax as well as new interactive games and challenges for kids and parents throughout the season. It’s going to be a monster of a season.”

Raging Rivers Waterpark is located at 100 Palisades Parkway in Grafton.

The 2022 season starts Saturday, May 28. Season passes are currently available for purchase.
