Southern Illinois man killed in single-car crash

A single-car crash resulted in the death of a Louisiville, Illinois man early Thursday morning.
David C. Beccue, 72, was traveling westbound on Sailor Springs Road, just east of Coral Drive, in Clay County at approximately 12:15 a.m. when his Ford Ranger veered off the road and overturned, according to a release from the Illinois State Police District 12.
Beccue was ejected from his pickup and pronounced dead on the scene from his injuries, according to Clay County Coroner Bryce Henry.
No further information has been released pending the ongoing investigation.
Clay County is about 85 miles east of Belleville.
