Man injured when car becomes airborne, overturns off Illinois 250 in eastern Illinois

A man was seriously injured early Sunday when a car he was driving went off Illinois 250 in Lawrence County and overturned , according to Illinois State Police.

Tyler J. Bolenbaugh, 23, of Vincennes, IN, was airlifted to a regional hospital, a news release states.

The accident happened at 5:20 a.m. near Kilroy Road, Bridgeport, in eastern Illinois when the westbound car left the roadway, “became airborne over a drainage ditch, struck the west embankment of the ditch and overturned, “ according to the release.
