Some southwest Illinois schools closed, others go online. Which is your school doing?
In the hours before a winter storm warning goes into effect, metro-east school districts on Tuesday began announcing in-person classes will be canceled on Wednesday.
Some districts are opting for a remote or e-learning day, while others are closing completely for a traditional snow day.
These districts have announced they’re switching to e-learning on Wednesday:
- Belleville School District 118
- Belleville Township High School 201
- Collinsville District 10
- Dupo 196 Community Unit School District 196
- East St. Louis School District 189, e-learning through Friday
- Freeburg High School District 77
- Granite City Community Unit School District 9
- Harmony-Emge District 175
- High Mount Distrist 116
- McKendree University
- Mount Olive District 5
- Pontiac-William Holliday District 105
- Triad District 2
- Wolf Branch District 113
These districts have announced they’re having no school on Wednesday:
- Aviston Elementary School District 21
- Belleville Area Special Services
- Cahokia Unit School District 187, closed through Friday
- Central District 104 (O’Fallon)
- Columbia Community Unit School District 4
- Coulterville District 1
- East Alton District 13
- Edwardsville CU District 7
- Highland District 5
- Holy Cross Lutheran-Collinsville
- Millstadt District 160
- New Athens District 60
