What’s your favorite Mexican restaurant in southwest Illinois? We’re seeking nominations
When I reported the results of the recent coffee shop poll, I threw out a teaser for my next “BND Best” online poll.
After deciding to change things up a bit, I will soon launch an elimination bracket for the area’s best Mexican restaurant.
You know, because brackets are a March thing.
That, plus I really love Mexican food and usually have some at least once a week. (Mmm … now I want some fajitas. And a paloma.)
But before this little tournament begins, I’m asking you, dear readers, to nominate your favorites by way of the form below.

While I realize that there are many excellent restaurants in our area, only the top 16 nominees will make the bracket, so choose well (and often).
The nomination window will be a small one, ending at noon, Friday, March 11.
Once we have our top 16, there will be four rounds of voting. And when it all ends, we will have our winner.
Because like the Highlander, there can be only one.
